Rock Processing is now looking for a Director Business Control, a key role where you work close to the business and leadership, contributing to both strategic direction and daily decision-making.
About the role
You lead the Business Control function and work closely with stakeholders across Rock Processing, collaborating with multiple divisions globally. You also interact with Business Control counterparts in the other business areas, creating a broad network across Sandvik’s finance organization. The role can be based in Malmö or Stockholm and involves regular interaction with senior stakeholders in an international, matrix organization.
In this position, you are the direct manager of two Business Controllers and play a key role in ensuring strong financial steering across the business area. You drive forecasting and performance follow-up, providing clear and relevant insights to support business decisions. With a close connection to the business, you actively contribute to linking strategy with financial outcomes and overall performance.
You report to the Business Area CFO, Cecilia Nissen, and work closely with the President and the Management Team.
Your responsibilities
In this role, you will among other things:
· Act as a financial partner to the Management Team
· Drive forecasting and performance follow-up
· Ensure clear and relevant financial reporting
· Lead and develop the Business Control team
· Support and evaluate investments and business cases
· Work with capital efficiency and key financial metrics
· Contribute to M&A activities and follow-up
· Develop tools and reporting
· Drive digitalization initiatives within finance
Who are you?
We believe that you have a university degree in finance or a similar field, together with extensive experience in Business Control within an international industrial environment. You bring experience from leading in a matrix organization, including indirect leadership and the ability to drive results through others. You have a strong background in performance management, forecasting, and business partnering, and are comfortable working with investment governance as well as supporting M&A processes. You have a solid track record of collaborating with senior stakeholders in a global organization and are skilled at building relationships across the business. You can translate complex data into clear and actionable insights that are easy to understand, regardless of audience. You are analytical and driven, with the confidence to take decisions and move things forward. In addition, you are accustomed to working with BI tools and financial systems such as OneStream and Power BI.
