Senior Accountant | Interim | Immediate Start

Financial Accountant • Köpenhamn

For one of our clients, we are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant who is available to start on short notice.

This is an interim assignment where you will take ownership of the statutory financial reporting for the Danish business. You will work closely with Group Finance, Business Controlling and local management, ensuring high-quality financial reporting while acting as a key finance partner.

The assignment is expected to run until the beginning of next year, with the possibility of extension if a planned ERP implementation moves forward.

Your responsibilities

  • Prepare statutory financial reporting and annual reports for the Danish entities.

  • Ensure compliance with Danish accounting standards and statutory requirements.

  • Report to Group Finance and collaborate closely with Business Controlling.

  • Support local management with financial insights and reporting.

  • Take responsibility for two of the group’s largest legal entities, representing an annual turnover of approximately DKK 7–8 billion.

  • Analyse financial figures and explain the underlying accounting and business implications.

Who we are looking for

You are a senior accounting professional with solid experience in Danish statutory reporting. You have a strong technical accounting background and are comfortable working independently in a complex organisation.

To succeed in this role, you bring:

  • Extensive experience with Danish accounting standards and statutory reporting.

  • Strong technical accounting skills.

  • Experience from larger organisations or international environments.

  • The ability to build trust and communicate confidently with stakeholders across the business.

  • A proactive and hands-on approach.

Industry experience is not essential. We are looking for someone with the right level of seniority, technical expertise and the confidence to quickly take ownership of the role.

Practical information

  • Start: ASAP

  • Duration: Approximately 6–12 months, with the possibility of extension.

  • Location: Greater Copenhagen
