We offer a position in a team where we work together across our various ferry routes and borders. The Controlling team is part of Finance and consists of more than 20 dedicated colleagues. At Finance, we place great emphasis on collaboration, and we are always ready to share knowledge and support each other.

As Controlling Manager, you will be responsible for leading and developing the controlling function for Molslinjen A/S as well as overseeing financial planning and analysis. This is a key role where you will be involved in driving development and digitalization efforts within the controlling department. As Controlling Manager, you will have three direct reports in Aarhus and report to the Finance Director in Helsingborg. Your primary location will be Helsingborg. Trips occur to Aarhus.

Your key responsibilities

In this role, you will;

• Be responsible for financial analysis, planning, budgeting and forecasting.
• Lead and develop a small team within the finance department, encouraging excellence and professional growth
• Engage in monthly and annual closing procedures, ensuring a compliant financial close for management reporting
• Support the business with decision-making by analyzing and reporting key performance indicators.
• Drive and develop processes for efficiency and digitalization within the finance area.
• Have personnel responsibility and develop your team through coaching and guidance.

To qualify for the role

We are looking for someone with several years of experience in accounting combined with experience in controlling from a larger organization, including at least 2-3 years in a team leadership role. Experience from a commercial operation is an advantage. You feel confident in your knowledge of accounting principles and budgeting principles and have a relevant educational background (e.g., a master’s degree in finance or similar).

You have strong analytical skills, are detail oriented, and organized. You are a natural leader with strong leadership skills and have previous experience in project management or leading teams. You are motivated by seeing your team grow and develop. You have an interest in digitalization, systems, and processes. You are proficient with systems and have experience working with essential software tools (e.g. Microsoft Office). Fluency in Swedish and English is a must. Danish is an advantage but not a requirement.

You are down-to-earth and unpretentious, with a keen interest in understanding and improving business operations. You thrive in a dynamic environment where you can take initiative and influence the company’s future.
