Financial Controller Emerging Markets ASSA ABLOY ES

ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems is looking for a Financial Controller to join the Emerging Markets Finance team. What you would do as our Financial Controller

This role plays an important part in internal control and governance across Emerging Markets. You will work with internal control and compliance while partnering closely with the business and supporting our entities around the world. You will support the Finance Director for Emerging Markets, Regional Controllers, local Finance Managers, and other business functions across the Business Area. The role also includes contributing to financial reporting, KPI follow-up, and financial analysis.

As Financial Controller, you will be part of the Emerging Markets Finance team and report to Jacob, Finance Director Emerging Markets. The position is based in Landskrona/Malmö.

You would also:

· Coordinate the legal review process for all legal entities within BSP, helping to ensure compliance with internal control requirements (RACM), local statutory regulations, and reporting requirements.

· Provide support on technical accounting matters and financial reporting. Guide reporting activities in accordance with the ASSA ABLOY Accounting and Reporting Manual. Review and challenge accounting estimates, accruals, and provisions.

· Take the lead in spreading best practices and contribute to training activities within internal control. Develop templates and practical implementation guidance, conduct control testing and evaluate the effectiveness of key controls. Identify risks and propose mitigation actions.

· Participate in projects across Emerging Markets, such as the implementation of the General Authorization Matrix and ICSA reporting. Support internal audits, balance sheet reviews, and follow up on identified issues.

· Support onboarding activities for newly acquired businesses and Finance Managers in matters related to internal control.

The skills and experience you need

We believe you hold a university degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field, and have gained a few years of relevant experience from a multinational company and/or an auditing firm. You have a solid understanding of IFRS and internal control frameworks, as well as experience in financial reporting, compliance, and risk management. To succeed in the role, you are comfortable building relationships and collaborating with stakeholders across different functions and countries. You communicate confidently in English, both verbally and in writing, and combine strong analytical skills with the ability to translate findings into actionable recommendations.

You are analytical and business-oriented and comfortable working in an international environment, have a structured approach to your work, and are motivated by improvement and creating value through strong financial processes.

You take ownership of your responsibilities, have a structured way of working, and enjoy collaborating with stakeholders across different functions and cultures.
