Lindt & Sprüngli is looking for a highly skilled Head of Financial Control & Tax to lead financial governance, accounting, tax and internal controls across the Nordic region.
We are seeking a candidate with deep expertise in IFRS, accounting, tax and governance, who can act as the technical backbone of the Nordic Finance organization while leading and developing the Financial Control & Accounting team.
Reporting directly to the Nordic CFO, you will serve as the primary technical advisor for complex accounting, tax and internal control matters across Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland.
About the role
As Head of Financial Control & Tax, you will be responsible for safeguarding the quality and integrity of financial reporting, tax compliance and internal controls throughout the Nordic organization.
You will work closely with Group Finance, Group Tax, external auditors and senior management, ensuring compliance while supporting continued business growth.
This role is ideal for a candidate who wants to combine technical expertise, leadership and business impact in a growing international organization.
Placement at the head office in Solna (hybrid 60% office / 40% remote) and you will be part of the Nordic finance team (13 people).
Key responsibilities:
Technical Accounting & Financial Reporting

Act as the primary technical accounting expert for the Nordic organization

Drive and ensure compliance with IFRS, local GAAP and Group reporting requirements

Own statutory reporting and year-end processes across the Nordic entities

Drive accounting quality and consistency across the region

Manage complex accounting matters and provide guidance to leadership and finance teams
Tax & Transfer Pricing
-
Own the Nordic tax agenda, including corporate income tax, VAT, deferred tax and tax compliance

Manage transfer pricing documentation and implementation
-
Collaborate with Group Tax on cross-border transactions and tax reporting
-
Drive Pillar 2 and other new tax initiatives where required

Act as key contact towards advisors, auditors and tax authorities
Governance, Risk & Internal Controls

Own and continuously improve the Nordic internal control framework
-
Ensure control design, execution and documentation meet Group requirements

Support Finance leadership in identifying and mitigating financial risks
-
Act as a key stakeholder during internal and external audits
-
Ensure high-quality balance sheet governance and reconciliations
Treasury & Working Capital

Govern banking mandates and payment approval structures
-
Ensure balance sheet and cash-flow forecast accuracy

Drive working capital improvements and credit risk governance
Leadership

Lead and develop the Financial Control and Accounting team

Raise the technical competence of the finance organization

Coach and support colleagues in complex accounting and tax matters

Drive a culture of quality, ownership and continuous improvement
Your profile
Required Experience
-
Big Four background with extensive experience in Audit, Accounting Advisory, & Tax. Experience as a Senior Manager, Director or equivalent level is highly preferred

Minimum 8–10 years of relevant experience
-
Deep expertise in IFRS and complex accounting matters
-
Practical experience in corporate income tax, tax reporting & provisions, deferred tax & VAT compliance

Experience with transfer pricing and international tax matters
-
Experience working with auditors, regulators and external advisors
-
Designed, implemented or improved internal controls frameworks
-
Worked hands-on with governance, risk management and audit findings
-
Experience in driving remediation and process improvements
-
Fluent in English and Swedish
Strongly Preferred

Experience from Group Accounting, Group Reporting or Technical Accounting functions

Pillar 2 experience

SAP experience
-
Experience from multinational organizations operating across multiple jurisdictions
